New year, new pools! We are so excited that our fiberglass pool provider, Barrier Reef, has released three new models for 2023. One is brand new and two are expansions of existing options, all in six fantastic colors. Each one has standard features like integrated lounging decks, seating and swim-outs.
Come meet Castaway, Laguna, and Outback!
Castaway
- Shape: Rectangle
- Length: 35 feet
- Width: 15 feet, 8 inches
- Depth: 3 feet, 6 inches up to 6 feet
Castaway is a versatile pool that’s ideal for smaller backyards. Most concrete pools are 20 x 40 feet while Castaway is slimmer at 15.8 x 35 feet. Its length is also a sweet spot – just big enough for a family or group of friends to have splashing room. The rectangle shape is compatible with auto covers as well.
If you opt for the 6-foot depth, you can easily include a slide or raised water feature. We also appreciate that there are multiple seating choices to enjoy Castaway. Perch on a sun shelf, relax in the built-in spa, or lounge on either set of swim-out steps.
Laguna 23′
- Shape: Rectangle
- Length: 23 feet
- Width: 11 feet, 3 inches
- Depth: 3 feet, 5.5 inches up to 5 feet. 1.5 inches
Ever heard of a cocktail pool? One of the latest home trends is compact pools. These petite models are fantastic for owners who have limited yard space. They’re more for lounging than swimming and diving. They combine the soaking element of a hot tub but with a pool’s cool waters and elbow room.
The Laguna 23’ is a scaled down version of the Laguna 29’. Only the length and width have been adjusted. It still offers deep seats, a sun ledge, and a nice depth. Auto covers can also be used with this model.
Outback Lounger 14′ Wide
- Shape: Rectangle
- Length: 30 feet
- Width: 14 feet
- Depth: 4 feet, 3 inches
The Outback Lounger 14’ Wide is the fourth model in the Outback family. A hallmark of all the Outbacks are their flat bottoms and a generous swim lane. This is perfect for pool owners who want to work on their stroke techniques.
It’s also great for anyone interested in water sports. The flat floor creates an even court for volleyball or basketball. The level bottom is an advantage for people doing water aerobics too.
If you are reading this in early spring, there is still time to order and install a fiberglass pool this same year. Fiberglass is faster to install than concrete – just imagine how awesome your summer will be with a pool ready to use!
